The mirage dragon is a mischievous master of illusion, one of Golarion's primal dragons, wrapping itself and its desert lair in shimmering deceptions until prey can no longer tell the real from the conjured. It toys with intruders for the sheer delight of it, striking from a haze of false images while the true dragon watches, unseen, from somewhere else entirely. Picture the moment your party commits to the killing blow - and the dragon it was aiming at simply ripples and fades. On the table it anchors a high-level climactic fight built on misdirection, and makes a fittingly cerebral menace for any arcane party - set it against a caster who thinks she sees through the haze, like the sorcerer Seoni, and let the illusions decide.
