The kobold trapmaster turns its warren into a gauntlet of snares, deadfalls, spikes, and hidden hazards, preferring to let the dungeon itself do the killing. Sly and endlessly inventive, it hangs back while intruders trigger its handiwork, then finishes off whatever the traps have already softened up. One wrong step, a click in the floor, and the corridor the party just crossed becomes the trapmaster's kill. On the table it's a devious support enemy for any kobold lair, rewarding the party that never watches its footing - field it in the same warren as the cinder rat smouldering in the tunnels below, where fire and traps close off every exit.
