The sarglagon is a drowning devil, a cold-blooded assassin of Hell's flooded depths that lurks beneath black rivers and stagnant pools to drag the unwary down into the dark. It kills in silence and by inches, favouring ambush and suffocation over open battle, and it serves Cheliax's infernal masters wherever water can hide a murder. Picture the still water beside the party's camp - and the hand that closes around an ankle from below. On the table it's a lurking aquatic threat for any Hellfire Crisis game, deadliest where the fight touches water - set it hunting the winged outcasts who nest along the same hostile coast, the persecuted Strix.
