Grindylow

The grindylow is a spiteful little sea-goblin, a fanged aquatic horror with the writhing tentacles of an octopus and a bottomless appetite for cruelty. Hunting the shallows, tide pools, and flooded caves in vicious packs, it drags swimmers under and picks apart anything smaller than itself - and it often serves crueller mistresses of the deep. A ripple, a grasping tentacle, and the swimmer at the back of the party is simply gone under the surface. On the table it's a nasty low-level swarm-foe for any Over the Waves encounter, dangerous in the water and cheap to field by the pack - loose a shoal of them in service to the coven-witch they answer to, the Sea Hag who rules their reef.
