Athamaru

The athamaru are fish-like humanoids who build tight-knit undersea communities, farming, training eels, and crafting elaborate works of coral art beneath the waves. Their dealings with other aquatic peoples are strained by generations of mistreatment, yet they remain curious about new connections - and quick to defend their reefs with trident, harpoon, and coral-hafted spear. This unit ranges from spear-and-trident warriors to a harpoon-gunner and a hooded coral-priest, a whole community ready to fight. On the table they're a versatile sea-folk unit for any Over the Waves encounter, fielded as wary neighbours or defiant foes - set them against the raiders who prey on their reefs, the subaquatic marauders descending in their diving suits.
