Obsidian Construct

A canonical Golarion antagonist to set against your party - for GMs running Pathfinder's published threats and collectors completing the roster of iconic foes.

The obsidian construct is a sentinel of black volcanic glass, its edges honed to razor sharpness and its body impervious to all but the heaviest blows. Forged by ancient magic to guard hoards and holy sites, it moves in eerie silence until it strikes, each swing trailing splinters of gleaming stone. Set it against your players where treasure or secrets must be protected at any cost. On the table it is a deadly construct guardian for any vault or ruin, cutting where a lesser sentinel would merely crush -  field it against the nimble intruder sent to breach the vault, the gnome warrior darting past its edges.
