The goblin chanter is a shrieking skirmisher who fights from the back of the mob with a shortbow and a stream of jeering warcries, loosing arrow after arrow while the rest of the warband charges in. Half the threat is the volley and half is the noise, the ragged chanting that eggs the goblins forward and rattles whoever they are shooting at. Picture the racket at the back of the raid resolving into a hail of arrows aimed straight at the party's casters. On the table it's a ranged harasser that softens up the party before the melee lands, best kept behind the front line - pair it with the warband's field-leader, the goblin commando calling the charge, and the raid becomes a real fight.
