Draugr

Rank-and-file for your encounters - for GMs who need to fill a battle map fast and painters building out a squad without breaking the bank.

The draugr are the risen corpses of sailors who died at sea, reeking of rot and the briny deep, their eyes aglow with ghastly green light and their bodies hung with seaweed, barnacles, and dead sea creatures. They cannot speak, only gurgle as though drowning eternally, and they want little more than to kill the living - dragging the bodies of the slain back into the water to swell the ranks of the dead. Set them against your players when the derelict alongside proves to still have a crew, just not a breathing one. On the table they're a staple aquatic undead unit for any Over the Waves game, best fielded as a dripping, shambling boarding crew - rise them from the same graveyard water as the vicious reef-dwellers that share it, the reefclaws lurking in the coral.
