The brigand is a common road-robber of the Inner Sea, a hard-bitten outlaw who lives by ambush, threat, and the blade at the traveler's throat. Neither noble nor clever, just desperate and dangerous, brigands haunt every lonely stretch of highway and ruined tollhouse. Picture them stepping from the brush with a grin and a drawn weapon. On the table they are perfect low-level humanoid filler for any road or wilderness encounter, cheap to field as a whole gang of cutthroats - set them against fellow lowlifes who work the same trails, the goblin warriors raiding nearby.
