Stone Guardian

A canonical Golarion antagonist to set against your party - for GMs running Pathfinder's published threats and collectors completing the roster of iconic foes.

The stone guardian is an animated sentinel of carved rock, bound by ancient magic to hold a doorway, tomb, or vault against all intruders. Patient and unfeeling, it stands motionless for centuries until trespassers cross its threshold, then strikes with crushing, tireless force. Set it against your players the instant they reach for the forbidden door. On the table it is a durable construct guardian for any dungeon or ruin, a wall of stone that will not yield - pair it with another lifeless watcher of the deep places, the obsidian construct at the next threshold.
