The Strix are winged humanoids of Golarion's high crags, night-black flyers who have warred against expanding humans - Cheliax above all - since those settlers first crept into their skies. Hardened by generations of persecution, they descend from the dark in swift, vengeful raids, and they trust outsiders about as far as they can throw them. A shadow crosses the moon, then another, then a dozen - and the raid falls on the party from straight above. On the table they're an aerial skirmisher unit for any Hellfire Crisis game, striking and wheeling away, best fielded as a flight - set them on the aquatic fiend that hunts their coastal roosts, the drowning devil Sarglagon lurking below.
